Van Adams, age 73, of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, KY. Mr. Van Adams was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. He was a retired jailor for Trigg County. He is survived by his Daughter & Son-In-Law Belinda & Harry Whisman, Cadiz, KY, Son & Daughter-In-Law Tony & Pam Adams, Cadiz, KY, Two Grandchildren Paul Shane Knight & Cody Thomas Adams. He was preceded in death by his Parents Pruitt & Minnie Global Mitchell Adams, Brother Herschel Adams, Six Sisters Mary Outlaw, Lucille Vervarb, Agnes Francis, Eileen Kirby, Hettie Crossman & Nell Thomas. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2011 with the Reverend Norman Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
