Thelma Stewart Pope, age 91, of Cadiz, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, Ky. She was a member of Cadiz Church of Christ. She worked at the Red Front Store in Cadiz, she was the owner and operator of Stewart's Market for many years. She retired from Ft. Campbell, KY where she worked in the Cashier's Office in the US Army Commissary. After retirement she worked at Kreative Kampus Daycare in Cadiz, KY. She is survived by her Son & Daughter-In-Law Charles Donald & Betty J. Stewart, Cadiz, KY One Step Daughter Loucretia Ricks of Cadiz, Ky., Grandchildren Kimberley & Dennis J. Adams, Charles Bradford & Christine Stewart, Michael Brent & Penny Stewart, Step Grandchild Emily & Michael Fitzsimmons Seven great-grandchildren Leslie Ann & Brett Snead, Nadia A. Adams, Barron S. Adams, Zachary J. Adams, Clark D. Adams, Christopher A. Stewart, Gregory E. Stewart. One great-great-grandchild Lyndsey Marie Snead. She was preceded in death by her Father James Oscar P'Pool, Mother Elza Mae (Aldridge) P'Pool, First Husband Garland Wheeler "Peck" Stewart, Second Husband Lawrence Haydon Pope, Three Brothers Jesse P'Pool, Earl P'Pool, Orbie P'Pool, Two Sisters Ruth Ann Arnold & Verla Mae Hibbert and a Great Grandson John Mark Adams. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 19, 2010. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, KY at 2:00 PM Friday, August 20, 2010 . Interment will be at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, Ky.
