John is the sole owner of Goodwin Funeral Home. He has been a life-long resident of Trigg County. He graduated from Trigg county High School in 1960 and Mid-America College of Funeral Service with a degree in Mortuary Science in 1961. John is licensed in both Funeral Directing and Embalming, which makes Goodwin Funeral Home the only funeral home in Trigg County where the owner and Manager, John Mark, are licensed with both credentials. John also served as Coroner of Trigg County from 1965 until 2006 at which time his son, John Mark, was elected to serve that position. John has remained within the Coroner's office and serves as a deputy. John and his wife Margie Rogers Vinson are members of Cadiz Baptist Church. John as been blessed to serve the people of Trigg County since starting his position at the funeral home in 1960 and is there daily to answer or assist with any questions that you may have.

John Mark is a life-long resident of Trigg County. John Mark has two children, Jackson Ford Vinson and Jordan Olivia Vinson. They are members and attend Cadiz Baptist Church. John Mark graduated from Trigg County High School in 1990, attended Lindsey Wilson College and later graduated with honors from John A. Gupton College with a degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service. He has been employed with Goodwin Funeral Home since 1991 as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. John Mark also serves as Trigg County coroner, a department he has been affliated with since 1992. He is very active within the Trigg County community and oversees most of the daily activities at the funeral home and is continually striving to ensure that each family receives the best care possible.

Clespy Ray Smiley is a graduate of Kentucky Mortuary School and is a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director. Ray and his wife Sue moved to Trigg County in 1976 from Somerset, KY. He began work at Goodwin Funeral Home in July 1976. Since then, he has dedicated 31 years to serving the families of Trigg County. Ray and Sue have four children; Elizabeth Smiley, Marsha Bullock, Clesphy Ray Smiley, Jr., and Nannie Davis. They also have three grandchildren; Brittany Smiley, Megan Bullock and Caleb Davis.

Lori P'Pool Ford is a lifelong resident of Trigg County. She is the daughter of Willie & Patty Nelums P'Pool. She is a 1987 graduate of Trigg County High School and graduated from Hopkinsville Community College in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration. Lori has been employed with Goodwin Funeral Home since October 1996. She is the Secretary at Goodwin's and will be glad to assist you in anyway possible. Lori is married to Kerry B. Ford and they have one son Grayson Blane Ford who is a student at Trigg County Intermediate School. Lori is a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church where she helps with the Nursery Program. She is also involved with The American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Kathleen Johnson was born in Stranraer, Scotland. She is the oldest of eleven children. She graduated from Elmwood convent School in Bothwell and moved to Glasgow, Scotlandto to attend College. in the later part of 1968 she emigrated to Frankfurt, Germany and worked there for six years. It was in Germany that she met her husband Frank while he was in the U.S. Army, stationed at the 97th General Hospital. On his return to the United States he was stationed with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky while looking for a place to live, he discovered Cadiz. They have lived in Cadiz since 1974. They have three daughters, Sheena, Athena and Roseleen, who attended school here until they graduated. She attends St. Stephen's Catholic Church. She coached recreational soccer in Trigg County for ten years and still loves the sport. At Goodwin Funeral Home her job is Family Service which covers: Funeral Pre-Arrangements, After Care visits when possible; Monument sales and to help in the office and around the funeral home wherever needed for the benefit of our customers. She is a member of: Business and Professional Women's Club Hospital Auxiliary Happy Homemakers (U.S. Extension Office) R.S.V.P. Volunteer Pennyroyal Grief and Loss Program for Widowed Persons (Board Member) League of Woman Voters Committee Member for the Veteran's Parade Instrumental in starting a Program with the American Legion to send packages at Christmas to the Soldiers in Iraq whose families live in Cadiz

Rodney joined our staff in 2003 after he retired from the Kentukcy Department of Employment Services. He is a proud U.S. Army vetaran where he served as a Communications Sergeant and is also a graduate of David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Rodney has been a part of the Trigg County community all his life and most of us recall the time he spent as news director for WDDZ from 1968 until 1986. He is married to Norma Jean and they have one daughter, LeAnne Summerville and one granddaughter, Madison. Rodney is the current minister at Joiner's Chapel church of Christ and has served in that capacity for the past 35 years.

Matthew Phillips Matthew is a 27 year old life-long resident of Trigg County. He has worked for Goodwin Funeral Home for 9 years. He is in his final year at John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, Tennessee. While attending classes he is also participating in the apprenticeship program for funeral director and embalmer licenses in Kentucky. His parents are Frankie and Tammy Phillips. He is married to Kayla Gray. He has two children - MacKayla and Peyton. He is a member of Cadiz Baptist Church. He is a fireman with the Cadiz Fire Department. Matthew is pleased to serve the families of Trigg County

Charlie Morris has been with Goodwin about 6 years. He retired from Bell South Telephone Co. in 1987. Charlie is married to Mary Virginia (Jennie) and has 3 daughters, Suzanne Ledford, Paula Anderson and Kristina London. He also has 5 grandchildren.

Chester D. Bridges was born in Trigg County, Kentucky. He is the son of the late Kendell and Doris Bridges. Chester graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Sergice in Jeffersonville, Ind. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He has been dedicated to serving families for 26 years, and is honored to serve the families of Trigg County through Goodwin Funeral Home.
