Robert Earl Thomas, age 84, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011, at his residence in San Antonio, TX. Mr. Thomas was of the Methodist faith. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired systems engineer. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Korean War Association and MENSA. He is survived by Daughters & Son In Law Mitzi & Thomas Lawson, San Antonio, TX, Teresa Bailey, Bowling Greeen, KY, Son & Daughter In Law Jim & Susan Thomas, Friendswood, TX, Grandchildren, Christian Lawson, Sean Lawson, Tristan Lawson, Shannon Knight, Shane Knight, Erin Gorkiewicz, Rachel Ramsey, Great Grandchildren Tyler Knight, Conner Knight, Henry Knight and Madison Welch. He was preceded in death by his Father Howard Ranson Thomas, Sr., Mother Ruth Hulse Thomas, 1st Wife Dorris Thomas, Wife Virgie Webb Thomas, Brother, Howard Ranson Thomas, Jr. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY. A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Bethel Cemetery on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Greg McNichols officiating.
