Richard Scott Garland, age 50, of Cadiz, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. He was a member of Baptist Faith and was construction worker. He is survived by his Parents Harry "Hank" & Bobbie Curits Garland, Cadiz, KY, Three Brothers, Harry Garland, Jr., Montgomery, Ala., Chris Eric Garland of Tulsa, Okla., Craig Kent Garland of Poquson, Va., Maternal Grandmother Jastine Curtis, Cadiz, KY, Special Friend Pamela Harrell, Cadiz, KY, Nieces and Nephew Craig Kent Garland, Jr., Lauren Garland, Melissa Garland Peak. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather Frank Curtis and Paternal Grandparents Roy & Myrtle Garland. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Graveside memorial service will be at the John Fry Stewart Cemetery, Trigg Co., KY at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Interment will be at John Fry Stewart in Trigg Co., KY.
