Funeral arrangements are incomplete for 59-year-old Stephen Edward Dzat of Cadiz, Kentucky.  Mr. Datz passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017, at his home.  Please check back later for complete service details.

Sheila Reimer

Sheila Reimer, age 60, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.  Mrs. Reimer was retired from Lake Barkley State Resort Park in Cadiz, where she was the Dining Room Supervisor.

She is survived by: one aunt - Barbara Noschese (Richard), Cadiz; and her companion - Bobby Pocisk, Cadiz.

She was preceded in death by: her father - George Poziack; her mother - Rachel Hammonds Poziack Steen; her husband - Mark Reimer; her maternal grandmother - Annie Mae Atkins; and two aunts - Virginia "Jeanie" Hancock and Omega "Sally" Hancock.

T.H. "Rod" Herndon

T. H. "Rod" Herndon, age 84, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Herndon worked as the superintendent at Cedar Bluff and Kentucky Stone Rock Quarries and retired as a supervisor at Vulcan Materials Company in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.  He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Trigg County and a United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.

Mr. Don Cloud

Don Cloud, age 90, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.  Mr. Cloud was a retired school administrator in Chico, California and a World War II United States Army veteran.  He had been an active member of Bidwell Presbyterian Church in Chico.

He is survived by: one sister - Joyce Wallin, Covina, California; one son - Roy Cloud and wife, Lexy, Placerville, California; one daughter - Diane Garoppo and husband, Mike, Cadiz; one granddaughter - Callie Cloud, and one grandson - Wes Cloud, both of Placerville.

Freda Redd McAtee

Freda Redd McAtee, age 86, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mrs. McAtee was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.    She was an active member of Cadiz United Methodist Church where she previously served as a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, as well as Youth Leader.  She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Trigg County Homemaker's Club, and was active in the Trigg County Cooperative Extension Services of 4-H.

Kenneth M. Johnson

Kenneth M. Johnson, age 86, of Riverview, Florida, a long time resident of Trigg County, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Sun City Center Hospice House in Sun City Center, Florida.  Mr. Johnson retired from Chandler Lumber Company in Los Angeles, California, where he worked as a commercial truck driver.  He also worked as a rural newspaper carrier for the Kentucky New Era in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.  He attended Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church in Trigg County.

Lofton Stallons

Lofton Stallons, age 83, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his home in Cadiz. Mr. Stallons volunteered for the U.S. Navy in January, 1952. He received basic training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, California. His first duty station was aboard the USS Curtis, a converted sea plane tender on loan to the Atomic Energy Commission. In the fall of 1952, he participated in one of the first A bomb experiments at the Eniwetok Proving Grounds, Marshall Islands.

Donald W. Overton

Donald Overton, age 67, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017, at his son's home in Cadiz.  Mr. Overton was  owner and operator of a commercial trucking company.  He was a United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by: one son - Donald W. Overton, Jr., Cadiz; one granddaughter - Kylie Olivia Overton, Jackson, MI; three sisters - Linda Spurlin, Elkton, Kentucky; Georgiana Wilson, Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Patsy Wall (Jimmy), Hopkinsville; and one brother - Frankie J. Overton, Hopkinsville.

Dotty Overbey McCormick

Dotty Overbey McCormick, age 84, of Wallonia, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  Mrs. McCormick worked as a secretary at the Cerulean Rock Quarry and at the Ft. Campbell army base; however, most of her years were spent helping her husband, Lewis, and son, Edward, on the family farm in Wallonia. She was a member of Wallonia Baptist Church where she participated in the WMU, assisted in Vacation Bible School, and taught the Preschool Children's Sunday School class for many years.

Tom Bennett

Tom Bennett, age 76, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky.  Mr. Bennett retired after thirty years from the Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, Illinois where he worked as a welder.  Mr. Bennett proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz, as well as the Cadiz Lions Club.

Ronnie DeLoach

Ronnie DeLoach, age 59, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at his home in Hopkinsville.  Mr. Ronnie DeLoach was self-employed in residential construction and roofing.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Alice Ann Wynn

Alice Ann Wynn, age 70, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.  Mrs. Wynn retired from Trigg County Manor in Cadiz.  She was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Cadiz and was an active participant at the Trigg County Senior Citizen's Center in Cadiz.

Linda J. Kennedy Jones

Linda J. Kennedy Jones, age 76, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky.  Mrs. Linda Jones worked as a cook for several local restaurants in Cadiz and Trigg County, most recently at Hancock's Market in Cadiz, and formerly as Manager of the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Coffee Shop.  She was a member of Woodmen of the World, Chapter 20, and Wallonia Christian Church in Trigg County.

Robert T. Wyatt

Robert T. Wyatt, age 80, of Trigg County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  Mr. Robert Wyatt worked in the agriculture supply industry for over 30 years for W.R. Grace and at Agri-Chem in Hopkinsville, from which he retired as Manager.  He was a member and Deacon of Delmont Baptist Church in Trigg County, where he also served as Sunday School Superintendent.

Janice Broadbent Walker

Janice Broadbent Walker, age 72, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.  In her early career, Janice was a school teacher who taught English, history, and physical education; however, she spent the majority of her career as a social worker for the State of Kentucky in the Department for Community Based Services and at Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY, from which she retired.  She was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church in Cerulean, KY.
