Joseph "Joe" Cravey

Joe Cravey, age 66, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville, KY.  Mr. Joe Cravey was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.  Joe & his longtime companion, Maria Bodnar, operated a family farm in Trigg Co. where they were dedicated stewards & conservationists of the land. He is survived by: one daughter - Sherri Marney, Severn, MD; one grandson - Justin Luebbert; one brother - Tommy Cravey, Macon, GA; & companion - Maria Bodnar, Cadiz, KY.  He was preceded in death by: parents- Joseph Benjamin Cravey, Sr.

Todd Luffman

Todd Luffman, age 42, of Princeton, KY, a native of Cadiz, KY, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Princeton Health and Rehab Center in Princeton, KY.   He is survived by: Father - Lucky Luffman, Cadiz, KY & One Sister - Kimberly Phillips & husband, Robert, Cadiz, KY.  He was preceded in death by: Mother - Roberta Luffman.  Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, KY.  Burial will be at a later date.

Jerry Van Carson

Jerry Van Carson, age 82, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY.  Mr. Carson retired in 1986 as a supervisor for Bell South in Hopkinsville, KY.  He was a Korean War veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy, and was a member of the VFW.  Mr. Carson was of the Methodist faith.

Jack T. Hanberry, Sr.

Jack T. Hanberry, Sr., age 88, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Jack attended Canton School where he adored and was mentored by his teacher, Miss Fannie Cunningham Wallace.  He graduated in 1942 from the 8th grade. As a young man, he lived in Trigg County, Kentucky with his parents Flave and Bessie Hanberry, both of whom he gave credit for many of his abilities to work with his hands and fix things like cars, toys and road construction.

Pauline Wadlington P'Pool, age 83, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at her home in Cadiz, KY.  Mrs.

Ed "Jr." Mitchell

Ed "Jr." Mitchell, age 47, of Hendersonville, TN, a native of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at his home in Hendersonville, TN.  Ed "Jr." Mitchell was employed as an IT Technician at Unipres USA in Portland, TN.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY. Ed  "Jr." was an avid fisherman, a loyal fan and member of the KISS Army, and a 1986 graduate of Christian County High School, Hopkinsville, KY.  He is survived by: Parents - Edward Lacy, Sr.

Bill D. Routh

Mr. Bill D. Routh, age 75, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at his home in Saint Louis, MO.  Mr. Routh retired as a wholesale automobile dealer in the Saint Louis, MO area.  He also proudly served in the US Army. He is survived by: One Sister - Bonnie Smith, Saint Louis, MO; Three Nephews- Rodney Smith; Bradley Smith; Barry Smith; & One Niece - Denise Olson.  He was preceded in death by:  Parents- William Clyde & Lorena Lawson Routh; Wife - Maria Kennedy Routh; & One Sister - Barbara Mitchell.  

Kathleen R. Hall

Kathleen Reddick Hall, age 97, of Kuttawa, KY, a native of Cadiz, KY, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa, KY.  Mrs. Hall grew up in the Blue Spring/Caldwell community and graduated from Cobb High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Draughon's Business College in Paducah, Kentucky.  After graduating from Draughon's Business College, she worked at Oak Ridge, Tennessee during World War II.  In the 1950's, she and her husband, Stanley, operated Hall's Cafe in Cadiz.

Mary Sumner Bridges

Mary Sumner Bridges, age 97, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY.  Mrs. Bridges was a homemaker & a dedicated Mother, Grandmother, Great & Great Great Grandmother.  She was a faithful member of 84 years at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Trigg Co., KY.  She was a member of the Thomas –Bridges Association, the James Thomas Chapter of the DAR, Ophelia Chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star & was an active participant at the Trigg Co. Senior Citizen's Center in Cadiz, KY.

Robert Miller

Robert W. "Red" Miller, age 83, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home in Cadiz, KY.  Mr. Miller retired from Johnson Controls, Inc. after working 37 years as a Fork Lift Operator.  He was a member of Buffalo Lick Baptist Church in Gracey, KY, served in the US Army, and was a long time volunteer member & Board Member of Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department in Trigg County, KY.

Phyllis Gene Dowdy Moore, age 72, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her home in Cadiz, KY.  Mrs.

Dean Clark Gray, age 103, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, KY.  Mrs. Gray was a homemaker and a member of Siloam United Methodist Church.

Albert Calhoun

Albert "Albe" Calhoun, age 86, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY.  Mr. Calhoun retired from the former RC Owens Lumber Co. in Hopkinsville, KY where he worked as a machinist milling hardwood flooring.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Skinner, age 70, of Princeton, KY, a native of Trigg Co., KY, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, KY.  Mr. Skinner previously worked at Hudson Chevrolet-Olds, Inc. in Providence, KY. He is survived by: Two Sons- Timothy Skinner & wife, Tammy, Hopkinsville, KY; Roger Wayne Skinner & wife, Wendy, Hopkinsville, KY; Two Daughters- Angela Winters & husband, Anthony, Dawson Springs, KY; Denise Johnson & husband, Larry, Hopkinsville, KY; 26 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Two Brothers- Douglas Skinner, Jr.

Justine Johnson Vowell

Justine Johnson Vowell, age 77, of Hopkinsville, KY, a native of Trigg Co., KY, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY.  Mrs. Vowell was a homemaker and dedicated caregiver to her family.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY.
