Joseph Cotton

Joseph Cotton, age 43, of Earlington, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, Kentucky.  Mr. Cotton was a self-employed tree trimmer.  He was a member of United Church of Christ in Madisonville, Kentucky.

Reverend Terry Lee Birdsong

Reverend Terry Lee Birdsong, age 62, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at his home in Trigg County, Kentucky.  Rev. Birdsong proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  After his service, he worked for 15 years as a deputy sheriff and chaplain for the Clay County, Florida Sheriff's Department.  He received his Doctorate in Theology from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.  Rev.

Aaron Thomas

Aaron Thomas, age 85, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Alive Hospice in Madison, Tennessee.  Mr. Thomas was a retired iron worker and member of Union Ironworkers Local 70 of Louisville, Kentucky for 40 years.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.  He was also a member of Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121 and a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church in Trigg County.

Leroy Sumner

Alfred Leroy Sumner, age 72, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.  Mr. Sumner was retired from Johnson Controls in Cadiz and was also co-owner of Sumner Properties.  He was of the Christian faith.

Linda Hodge

Linda Hodge, age 69, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Saint Thomas Medical Center West in Nashville, Tennessee.  Mrs. Hodge was retired as a security guard for Nissan in Smyrna, Tennessee.  She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends at the Trigg County Senior Citizen's Center.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Trigg County.

Duran Meade "Frosty" Martin, Sr.

Duran Meade "Frosty" Martin, Sr., age 92, of Trigg County, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his home in Trigg County.  Mr. Martin was born February 28, 1925, in Paducah, Kentucky, the youngest child of Rufus and Lura Rogers Martin.  He attended school first in Lamasco, Kentucky, then Paducah, graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School on May 26, 1943.  He entered the United States Navy a month later, on June 28, 1943.  Following his service in WWII, he farmed for many years in Trigg County.  Mr.

Carroll E. Stewart

Carroll Stewart, age 82, of Cerulean, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at his home in Cerulean.  Mr. Stewart was a retired electrician, a 60-year member of I.B.E.W. Local 369 in Louisville, Kentucky, and a member of Cerulean Springs Masonic Lodge #875.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by: one son - Barry Stewart, Cerulean; one daughter - Sonya Ginn and husband, Tim, Cerulean; one granddaughter - Holly Stewart, Nashville, Tennessee; one grandson - Ross Ginn, Denver, Colorado; six brothers; and three sisters.

Beverly Tyler Lacy

Beverly Tyler Lacy, age 66, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Hopkinsville.  Mrs. Lacy previously worked as a teller at Bank of Cadiz and as a nurse's aid at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, Kentucky.  She retired from Ebonite International in Hopkinsville, where she was employed as a quality inspector for 17 years.  She was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church in Cerulean, Kentucky.

Tony Huber

Tony Huber, age 43, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mr. Huber was a heavy equipment mechanic for North Antelope Rochelle Mine in Gillette, Wyoming.  He was a United States Air Force veteran and was of the Catholic faith.

Marie L. Proffitt

Marie L. Proffitt, age 66, of Princeton, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Caldwell County Medical Center in Princeton.  Mrs. Proffitt had worked in the warehouse at Flynn Enterprises in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cadiz, Kentucky.

Barbara Stallons

Barbara Stallons, age 81, of Cadiz, Kentucky, a native of Golden Pond, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.  Mrs. Stallons was a long-time employee of Clement Pharmacy in Cadiz and former owner/operator of Cottage of Gifts in Cadiz. She was of the Baptist faith.

Janice Litchfield

Janice Litchfield, age 70, of Gracey, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  In earlier years, Mrs. Litchfield worked as a cook for Trigg Manor Nursing Home and Lake Barkley State Resort Park in Cadiz, Kentucky.  She also previously worked at Grupo Antolin Kentucky Industries in Hopkinsville.  In recent years, she was a homemaker.  She was a previous member of the Ophelia Chapter No. 55, Order of the Eastern Star.  Mrs.

Steve Emery

Steve Emery, age 76, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Emery and his father, Forest, owned and operated a barber shop in Evansville, Indiana from 1960 - 1971.  He retired as a salesman for Lawson Products and Evansville Garage Builders.  He was a member of Newburgh Masonic Lodge #174 in Newburgh, Indiana, a Kentucky Colonel, a former Eagle Scout leader, and the Flotilla Commander of Flotilla 8-7 of the U.S.

Robert A. "Bob" Daniel

Robert A. "Bob" Daniel, age 61, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.  Mr. Daniel worked as a quality engineer in the manufacturing industry for 21 years.  He was a supporter and member of the National Rifle Association of America.
