Truman W. Humphries

Truman Warren Humphries, 86, of Oroville, California, formerly of Napa, California, and a native of Trigg County, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Oroville.  Mr. Humphries was a naval paint inspector for the United States government.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and flying model planes.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Humphries and Jason Humphries, and four grandchildren, Marie Humphries, Colby Humphries, Caden Humphries, and Camden Humphries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas S. and Edda Marie Freeman Humphries.

James D. Bohner

James D. Bohner, age 67, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Bohner was a welder and a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Deborah (John) Dana of Cadiz; one grandson, Eric Dana, U.S. Navy, San Antonio, Texas; one granddaughter, Britani Dana of Longview, Texas; and one sister, Linda (John) Swank of Sunbury, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Martha Bohner, and two brothers, Earl Bohner and Gary Bohner.

Arron Hammond

Arron Hammond, age 75, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.  Mr. Hammond was a United States Navy veteran and a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church in Cadiz.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (David) Jones of Bowling Green, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Mallory Jones of Bowling Green; four brothers, Cecil (Patsy) Hammond of Cadiz, Doug (Lee Ann) Hammond of Providence, Kentucky, Willard (Judy) Hammond of Bardwell, Kentucky, and Darrell (Dee) Hammond of Cadiz; and one sister, Bobbie Jean Thomas of Cadiz.

Elbert Adams

Elbert Adams, age 78, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Trigg Manor in Cadiz.  Mr. Adams was a life-long farmer and steward of the land.  He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Wallonia Christian Church in Trigg County.

He is survived by four brothers, Jessie (Linda) Adams of Cadiz, Decatur "D.C." Adams of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Walter "Mort" Adams of Cadiz, and David (Beth) Adams of Madisonville, Kentucky; two sisters, Iva Nell West of Cadiz, and Martha (James) Lumpkin of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Herchel Leon "Jack" Leneave

Herchel Leon "Jack" Leneave, age 90, of Crestview, Florida, a native of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, at his home in Crestview.  Mr. Leneave served in the United States Armed Forces for 24 years and among his many medals and awards were one Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, and the Purple Heart.  He had the honor of serving under Generals Patton, LeMay, Clark, and Westmoreland.

Gus Thim, age 82, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.  Mr.

Edward Chappell Headley, Jr.

Edward Chappell Headley, Jr., age 93, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Headley was a graduate of Bowling Green College of Commerce, now part of Western Kentucky University, and pursued his graduate work at the Universities of Louisville and Houston in addition to foreign language studies at International House, New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr.

Jerry D. Estes

Jerry D. Estes, age 75, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at his home in Cadiz.  Mr. Estes had retired from Johnson Controls in Cadiz, where he worked as a press operator for 14 years.  He had previously worked in the coal mining industry for 17 years at Peabody Mine in Morganfield, Kentucky.  Jerry was a member of Masonic Lodge F.

Linda Alderdice

Linda Alderdice, age 68, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.  Ms. Alderdice had retired as Chief Forester for the Department of Defense, Forestry and Wildland Fire Division, at Ft.

Margaret Mart McAllister

Margaret Mart McAllister, age 78, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.  Mrs. McAllister was a devoted homemaker and loving mother.  She was a faithful member of East Cadiz Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alex McAllister of Cadiz; her daughter, Trina (Jeff) McAllister Akin of Cadiz; and four sisters-in-law, Betty (James) Rogers, Mary (Bill) Bogard, and Madie (Tommy) Calhoun, all of Cadiz, and Irma Morris of Brentwood, Tennessee.

Rexie Gaylon Skinner

Rexie Gaylon Skinner, age 67, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.  Mr. Skinner retired from Metalsa/Dana after 19 years of employment and was a United Auto Workers member.  Gaylon was a member of Pugh Flat Baptist Church in Trigg County.

Virginia Thomas

Virginia Thomas, age 81, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.   Virginia was Valedictorian of her graduating class of 1953 at Dalton High School in Hopkins County.  She married Jesse R. Thomas that same year, and they soon moved to Trigg County, where she worked for several years at Trigg County Hospital and for Dr.

Vikki Hackl

Victoria Maria "Vikki" Hackl, age 74, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at her home in Cadiz.  Mrs. Hackl had formerly been employed as a clerical worker in the insurance industry.  She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Cadiz.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul Hackl of Cadiz; two brothers, Bernie Miskowicz of Cassopolis, Michigan and John (Laurelle) Miskowicz of La Porte, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Sandra (Frank) Quint of Paris, Tennessee.

Ruth Noreen McCarley

Mrs. Ruth Noreen (Meeker) McCarley, age 91, of Cadiz, Kentucky, died peacefully at Barkley Plantation Assisted Living Facility in Cadiz, on Saturday, October 7, 2017. 

Donna Braboy Bailey

Donna Braboy Bailey, age 56, of Pembroke, Kentucky, a native of Trigg County, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  Mrs. Bailey was a graduate of Trigg County High School and of Murray State University.  She had a great love for family which was accented by her sense of humor, commitment, and ability to find laughter in the tribulations of life.
