Norma Jean Purdy Tomes, age 75, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY. Mrs. Tomes was a retired registered nurse having worked for 55 years and she was of the Baptist faith. She was survived by: Daughter & Son-In-Law - Vicki & Randy Hooks, Cadiz, KY, Two Brothers & Sisters-In-Law - David & Brenda Purdy, Dawson Springs, KY, Dwight & Marilyn Purdy, Dawson Springs, KY, Four Sisters & Brothers-In-Law- Christina & Domald Sisk, Princeton, KY, Dean & George Ausenbaugh, Dawson Springs, KY, Faye & Bill Kittinger, Dawson Springs, KY, Patsy & Chamtie Gardner, Providence, KY, Two Grandchildren- Cody Lee Hooks, Cadiz, KY & Brandi Nicole Hooks, Cadiz, KY. She was preceded in death by: Father - William Cordis Purdy, Mother - Ethel Mae Purdy, Step Father - Cecil Purdy, Two Sisters-- Mae Purdy & Cathy Purdy. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2011. Graveside Service will be at Dunn Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY at 2:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011 with the Reverend Nickey Knight officiating.
