Maxine Holland Sumner, age 81, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Sumner had worked at the former Elk Brand Manufacturing in Cadiz, KY and she was a member of Liberty Point Baptist Church. She was survived by: Husband - William A. "Bill" Sumner, Cadiz, KY, One Son & Daughter-In-Law - Donnie & Shelia Holland, Cadiz, KY, One Daughter & Son-In-Law - Jennifer & Ernie Baker, Cadiz, KY, One Sister & Brother-In-Law - Irene & T.O. Edmonds, Cadiz, KY, Three Grandchildren- John Holland, Darla Thomas & Amanda Baker, Three Great Grandchildren- Colson Thomas, Kaylee Holland & Ethan Hughes. She was preceded in death by: Father - Dewey Colson, Mother - Ada Mohon Colson, 1st Husband - Joe Holland, Three Brothers - Seldon Colson, Clint Colson & Clyde Colson, One Sister - Ruth Colson. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Monday, May 16, 2011. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2011 with the Reverend Irvin Darnall officiating. Burial will follow at East Cemetery in Cadiz, KY. Memorial Contributions can be made to: American Red Cross, Cadiz Chapter.
