Mrs. Marynell Hopson, age 85, of Cadiz, KY, died Friday, October 08, 2010, at her home in Cadiz, KY surrounded by loving family members.. After graduating from the Univ. of Kentucky, she worked as a social worker for several years before entering a teaching career. She retired from the Trigg County School System after teaching Spanish for many years. She was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was very active in WMU. Over the years, she was also very involved in different civic organizations in the Trigg County community. She was survied by her: Husband of sixty three years - W.J. Hopson, Cadiz, KY, Three Daughters and Sons-In-Law- Leanne and Garry King, Denton, MT, Shara & Bill Hardy, Greensboro, NC and Madelyn and Tom Retersdorf, Spring Hill, TN. One Sister- in- Law - Celia Hopson, Cadiz, KY. Eight Grandchildren-Margaret Futrell, William Scott Hardy, Jennifer Arenth, Mary Kulkarni, Brian Hardy, Henry, Ben and Will Retersdorf. Six Great Grandchildren-Elizabeth Hardy, Savannah Arenth, Jack Shimkin, Lily Hardy, Nathan Kulkarni, Benjamin Hardy. She was preceded in death by: Father - Ione Hardin, Mother - Madelyn Hardin Nunn, Stepfather - Jack Nunn, Sister - Betty Hardin and Brother- In- Law - Winthrop Hopson.
