Mamie Faughn Banister, age 87, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at her home in Cadiz, KY. Mrs. Banister was a retired nurse's aid, rural paper carrier and a clerk at the former PN Hursch Store in Cadiz, KY. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was survived by: Two Sons & Daughter-In-Law- William Banister, Princeton, KY & Larry & Judy Banister, Princeton, KY, One Daughter - Rita Faye Banister, Cadiz, KY, Four Grandchildren- Craig Banister, Beth Parrish, Shane & Lori Banister, Brandi & Dennis Vandiver, Six Great Grandchildren- Katie Creekmur, Kayla Parrish, Casey Banister, Patsy Banister, Brycen Banister, Devan Oliver, Three Great Great Grandchildren- Trinity Creekmur, Kristian Creekmur, Sophie Parrish, Six Step Grandchildren- Whitni Boitnott, Charity Boitnott, Emily Stallins, Drake Howard, Derrin Boyd, Alyia Towns. Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Father - Killis T. Faughn, Mother - Myrtie Allen Faughn, Husband - Amos Banister, Three Brothers- Lacy Faughn, Tilman Faughn & Claude Faughn, Two Sisters- Luveda Lancaster & Pansy Woods, One Great Great Grandson- Kenyon Boitnott. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 03, 2012. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 04, 2012 with the Reverend Don Bunch officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
