Louise Thomas Boyd, age 96, of Augusta, Ga., formerly of Cadiz, KY passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Ga. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Augusta, GA and former member of Cadiz Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also was an avid golfer and well known for her cooking talents. Surviving relatives include a Great Nephew Paul Francis and wife Johnna of Martinez, GA, Great Niece Ellen Zornes and husband J.D. of Columbia, KY, Three Great Great Nieces and Nephew, Four Great Great Great Nieces and Nephews, an adopted Niece Lillie Sue Bostick and husband Jeff Bostick. She was preceded in death by her Father John Vernon Thomas, Mother Clementine Wilson Thomas, Husband Herman Jefferson Boyd, Sister Isabella (Thomas) Francis, Nephews Thomas Houston Francis and Phillip Reagan Francis and Great Great Nephew Robert Scott Francis. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Sunday, July 11, 2010. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, KY at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 12, 2010, Reverend Norman Ellis officiating. Interment will be at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, Ky.
