Leon Futrell, age 88, of Cadiz, KY, died Friday, October 22, 2010, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY. Mr. Futrell was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church where he had served on the building and grounds committee. He owned and operated a saw mill for 35 years, he was a logger for 12 years and worked as a trucker for 14 years hauling rock. He was survied by: One Son & Daughter-In-Law - Jimmy & Wendy Futrell, Cadiz, KY, Three Grandchildren- Jeremy & Leigh Ann Futrell, Owensboro, KY, Joanna Futrell, Bowling Green, KY and Joenelle Futrell, Philpot, KY, Two Great Grandchildren - Ensley Futrell & Madeline Futrell, One Sister - Lenora Colson, Murray, KY and Daughter-In-Law- Ann Kirk Futrell, Philpot, KY. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Futrell, Jeremy Futrell, Todd Harton, Winston Perry, Donnie McCraw and Bill Lester. He was preceded in death by: Wife - Eunice Stewart Futrell on August 1, 1976, One Son - Charles Prentice Futrell, Father - Luther Futrell, Mother - Luella Berkley Futrell, Two Brothers - Robert Futrell & Albert "Ted" Futrell, Two Sisters- Annie Mae Justus & Hallen Futrell. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2010. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2010 with the Reverend Reverend Paul Cannon and Reverend Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at East Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
