Mr. Kenneth R. Elmore, age 63, of Cadiz, Ky., died Monday, June 14, 2010, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. He was retired from the United Aerospace Workers Local 148 representing Douglas Products Division of Boeing in Long Beach, CA, he was a US Marine Corp Vietnam veteran, a member of the Cadiz Lions Club, VFW post 7890, American Legion post 74, Marine Corps League, and served on the Pennyrile Area Honor Guard team. He also vonlunteered for the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. He was of the Baptist faith and also a KY Colonel. He is survived by his Two Sons and Daughter-In-Law, Steven R. & Mary Ann Elmore of Dallas, Ore. and Dennis B. Elmore of Corina, Calif. Two Sisters and Brother-In-Law, Charlotte and Manuel Brown of Cadiz, Ky. and Karen Elmore of Bardstown, Ky. Four grandchildren-Breana Elmore, Caitlin Elmore, Lucas Elmore and Jacob Elmore. One Aunt- Euthelda Shaw of Louisville, KY and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in Death by: Father-Robert Elmore, Mother-Viola (VanMeter) Elmore and One Sister-Wanda Elmore. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Funeral service with full military honors will be at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, KY at 2:00 PM Friday, June 18, 2010 , Reverend Kevin Roberts officiating.
