John Robert Thomas, age 65, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011, at his residence in Cadiz, KY. Mr. John Robert Thomas was of the Methodist Faith. He retired from Planters Bank in Hopkinsville, Kentucky with 25 years of service and from Peoples Bank in Winona, Mississippi. He was survived by his Wife Roberta RossThomas, Cadiz, KY, Sons & Daughters In Law Chris & Melodie Thomas, Crofton, KY, John Leslie & Laura Thomas, Lexington, KY, Ross & Charlotte Flatt, Lexington, KY, Daughter Melanie Hancock, Cadiz, KY, Sisters Captola Poole, Chicago, IL and Ida Stephens, Scottsdale, AZ, Nine Grandchildren Dylan Hancock, Marlee Thomas, Noah Thomas, Kaitlyn Thomas, Landry Thomas, Zach Thomas, Aubrey Flatt, Jace Hancock and Faith Thomas. He was preceded in death by his Parents Robert Herman & Ruby Major Thomas and Son Aubrey Flatt. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 17, 2011 with the Reverend Donald Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery in Bumpus Mills, TN.
