John Carlin Chewning, age 79, of Cerulean, KY, died Friday, January 28, 2011, at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton, KY. Mr. Chewning was a member of Wallonia Christian Church where he had served as an Elder and Deacon. He was retired from the former International Shoe Factory in Hopkinsville, KY and Crop Production Services in Cadiz, KY. He was also a farmer. He is survived by: One Son & Daughter-In-Law - Craig & Shelby Chewning, Cerulean, KY, One Brother - Wilford Hoover Chewning, Cerulean, KY, One Grandson - Jonathon Chewning, Princeton, KY, One Nephew - Joe Chewning, Cerulean, KY and One Niece - Stephanie Perkins, Cerulean, KY. He is preceded in death by: Father - Cephas Wilford Chewning and Mother - Margaret Frances Chewning. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive frends after 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2011 with the Reverend Billy Joe Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean, KY.
