Delbert Stagner, age 91, of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Christian Care Communities in Hopkinsville, KY. Mr. Delbert Stagner was a veteran having served first in The Coast Guard and then in the United States Navy, he served first during World War II and then in The Korean Conflict. He was a member of of St. Stephens Catholic Church in C adiz, He owned Stagner Electric and Plumbing after returning from service. He was director of Services of Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was Director of Maintenance for Bloomington School System In Bloomington, IL. He was Business Manager for the Sisters of St. Benedict Mother House in St. Joseph, MN. He was Director of Services at Riverside Hospital, Crookston, MN. He returned to Cadiz after retiring to assume the position once again as Director of Maintenance for Trigg County School System. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years Ronella Morris Stagner, Cadiz, KY, Sons & Daughters-In-Law James D. "Monty" & Robin Ford Stagner, Cadiz, KY, David Pendleton & April Stagner, Cadiz, KY, Daughter Jeannie Stagner Bodine, Cadiz, KY, Special Friend Tony Gordon, Cadiz, KY, Nine Grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Jeanna Johnson Arfsten, Nick Bodine, Jennifer Bodine, Alice Ewing, Aaron Stagner, Josh Stagner, Annie Stagner Wyatt, Will Stagner, Eight Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents Silas Marion & Mallie Wyatt Stagner, Brother Claudie Earl Stagner, Sister Beatrice Stagner Wallace and Sister Irene Stagner Ricks. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2011. Funeral Service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2011 with the Reverend Norman Ellis and Father Joseph Babu officiating. Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
