Harrison Mitcheson, age 64, of Cadiz, KY, formerly of Golden Pond, KY, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa, KY. Mr. Mitcheson was retired from Tennesse Valley Authority as a construction warehouse manager. He was a member & co-founder of New Light Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and as Sunday school superintendent, He was a lay preacher, a member of NWTF, Ducks Unlimited, NRA and Teamster Local 236 in Paducah, KY. He was survived by: Wife of 41 years - Regina Dye Mitcheson, Cadiz, KY, Two Sons- Michael Mitcheson, Cadiz, KY, Thomas Harris, Cadiz, KY, One Daughter - May Ferguson, Dawson Springs, KY, Mother - Mrs. Mary Lee Birdsong Mitcheson, Cadiz, KY, Two Brothers & Sisters-in-law-- Rev. Terry & Rhonda Mitcheson, Grand Rivers, KY, Rev. Danny & Linda Mitcheson, Cadiz, KY, Granddaughter - Papaw's Princess, Alanna MacKenzie Harris, Brothers & Sisters-in-law- Leonard Dye, Lewisberg, KY, Bryan & Tammy Dye, Lewisberg, KY, Patricia & Donnie Owens, Lewisberg, KY, Carol Dye, Broken Arrow, OK, several nieces & Nephews also surivive. He was preceded in death by: Father - Holly Mitcheson, One Son - Justin M. Mitcheson and Brother-in-law- Steven Dye. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 04, 2011 and on Monday, September 5, 2011, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Light Baptist Church in Cadiz, KY. Funeral Service will be at New Light Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Monday, September 05, 2011 with the Reverend Danny Mitcheson, Reverend Terry Mitcheson & Reverend James Jones officiating.
