Mr. F. M. Birdsong, age 75, of Cadiz, Ky., died Friday, April 30, 2010, at Alive Hospice at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, Tenn. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church, Cadiz Masonic Lodge No. 121 and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181. He is survived by his Two Daughters & Sons-In-Law, Teresa Birdsong & Cameron Adkins of Hendersonville, Tenn., Karen & John Thorpe of Cadiz, Ky. One Son & Daughter-In-Law, Jason & Amanda Birdsong of Madisonville, Ky.. Three Sisters & Brothers-In-Law, Vonda & Wayne Colson of Murray, Ky., Dorothy Stroup of Benton, Ky. and Kay & Kenny Wright of Hardin, Ky.. Three Brothers & Sisters-In-Law, Conroy & Pearl Birdsong of Murray, Ky., Donnie & Debbie Birdsong of Hardin, Ky. and Ronnie & Karen Birdsong of Madisonville, Ky. Five grandchildren- Stephanie Thorpe of Cadiz, KY, Zach Thorpe of Cadiz, KY, C.J. Adkins of Hendersonville, TN, Abigale Birdsong of Madisonville, KY and Jared Birdsong of Madisonville, KY.. He was preceded in Death by: Father-Roy Birdsong, Mother-Velma (Turner) Birdsong. Two Brothers- Jim Birdsong and Bill Birdsong. One Sister-Diane Higgins. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2010. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, KY at 1:00 PM Monday, May 3, 2010 , Reverend Irvin Darnall officiating. Interment will be at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, Ky.
