Clarence L. Francis, age 80, of Brentwood, Tenn., formerly of Trigg Co., KY passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Greenhills Health & Rehabilitation Cente in Nashville, Tenn. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Madisonville, KY. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WW II. He retired as a CPA, he was a partner at the Hoskins & Francis CPA Firm. He was also a member of Shriners, Madisonville Rotary Club, Madisonville Masonic Lodg, VFW and American Legion. He is survived by his one daughter and son in law Leah & Bill Wood of Brentwood, Tenn., one sister, Betty F. Nicholson of Hermitage, Tenn., two brothers, Bill Francis of Cadiz, Ky., Carl Ray Francis of Henderson, Ky. and three grandchildren Morgan Wood, Alex Wood & Zach Wood. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Averitt Francis, mother Berta (Thomas) Francis, wife Joan B. Francis, brother Robert Francis, sister Donna Moore. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 21, 2010. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, KY at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 22, 2010, with Reverend Irvin Darnall officiating. Interment will be at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz, Ky. Memorial contributions can be made to Arthritis Foundation or to The American Cancer Society.
