Bruce Higbee, age 57, of Cadiz, KY passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY. Bruce was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and member of the Choir and the Praise Team. He was self employed State Farm Insurance Agent in Cadiz. He was a member of Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society, Past President and member of Trigg County Chamber of Commerce, Past President & member of Cadiz Rotary Club, member of the Tourism Committee, he was a member ot the Trigg County Football Hall of Fame, he was a member of the 1971Trigg County State Championship Football Team. He is survived by his Wife Carol Higbee, Cadiz, KY, Daughters Amanda Higbee and Laura Higbee both of Cadiz, KY, Parents Bob & Susie Higbee, Cadiz, KY, Sister & Brother In Law Lydia & Mark Fuller, Owensboro, KY. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Richard Higbee and Lois Higbee, Maternal Grandparents Alex and Maude Tharpe. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050 Cadiz, KY 42211-031 in Cadiz, KY where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2011 and on Sunday, October 30th from 12:30 till the funeral hour at Cadiz Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at Cadiz Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2011 with the Reverend Kevin Roberts and Reverend Jason Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
