Billy Ray "Snake" Futrell, age 69, of Hopkinsville, Ky., formerly of Trigg Co., KY passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. Mr. Futrell was a member of Linton United Methodist Church and was a Retired Industrial Electrican. He is survived by his wife Melba (Skinner) Futrell, Hopkinsville, KY One Sister, Mary Linda Adams of Cadiz, Ky., One Brother, Jerry David Futrell of Cadiz, Ky. He was preceded in death by his Father Joe Miller Futrell, Mother Opal Ophelia (Frith) Futrell, Brother William Dotson Futrell, Sister Martha Jo Futrell. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. -P.O. Box 2050, Cadiz, Ky., where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, KY at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2010, with Rev. David Ray Futrell officiating. Interment will be at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, Ky. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society.
